Looking back on 2010!

Apart from experiencing a fantastic sporting year in 2010, inqaba biotec has also enjoyed 2010 in other ways. As we look back, these are some of the highlights we are proud to mention

Inqaba Biotec East Africa Ltd was officially launched in Nairobi, Kenya. Since the launch, we have seen incredible growth. This trend is set to continue in 2011. The office is being run by Mr Jeremiah Matogo. More details to follow
Victims Empowerment Conference. Held in March, this conference saw a mixture of folks both from the side of Law enforcement to victims of crimes. Horriyfing accounts were given by actual victims of crimes, the reality of mental trauma and the liberating effects that justice can have on the recovery of victims.
The 2nd Annual African DNA Forensics conference was hosted in October. Again, we saw a unique mix of persons from the SAPS, Legal fraternaties, Forensics specialists etc. Many great discussions where held and Forensic science-based criminal investigation in S.A promises to become an established tool in our Fight against crime.
Lastly, inqaba biotec has moved offices. Toward the end of last year inqaba biotec made the move to 525 Walker Street, Muckleneuk, Pretoria. This will be our new home for the foreseeable future! Pics to follow

No doubt, 2011 looks like it is going to be an equally exciting year for us! Customers will benefit from an even greater product range, expanded services and of course, there are a few new 'kids on the block'. We look forward to you meeting them. Our GS technology platform, now entering its third year of operation has seen an upgrade from the GS 20 to the GS FLX, and now with the introduction of the GS FLX Titanium kits is set to break all biotechnology boundaries. Already having generated ~3.0 GB of data on our platform, the new Titanium kits are set to revolutionise sequencing as they generate an amazing 500 MB per run!
