DNA sequencing is becoming increasingly important in all disciplines of molecular biology, as well as in applied fields such as diagnostics or forensic research. The speed at which one obtains the results is therefore a critical factor in the efficiency of genomic research and diagnostic work. In 2007, inqaba biotec upgraded the sequencing laboratory with the acquisition of a new ABI 3130XL sequencer. This has already decreased our turnaround time and improved the quality of the generated sequences. Geospiza Finch Suite, our new web based sequencing tracking and retrieval service, is making DNA sequence generation and data handling simpler, faster and more cost effective. inqaba biotec offers tailor-made sequencing services; from a single reaction up to the sequencing of whole genomes. We offer a range of services ranging from simple lane reactions, giving you maximum control, to our premium service where your job ends with growing colonies containing the correct fragment.
Services- Steps performed by inqaba biotec:
- Purification of the sequence reaction supplied by the customer
- Run on the ABI 3130XL Sequencer
- No repeats
- R 46 (excl Vat) per sequence
- Please submit:
- Sequence reaction for purification or as cleaned-up sample and protected from light
- Steps performed by inqaba biotec:
- Sequencing reaction of purified, quantified and concentration adjusted samples supplied by the customer.

Samples and primers should be submitted in well marked tubes and should be well protected for shipment. They do not need to be cooled. We keep stocks of standard primers like T7, T3, Sp6, M13 primers, T7 terminator, and, therefore, they do not have to be supplied by the customers.
Geospiza’s FinchTV is a popular way to view DNA sequence traces on Linux, Mac OSX, Windows, and Solaris. FinchTV started as the only chromatogram viewer that can display an entire trace in a scalable multi-pane view. It leads the way with raw data views, BLAST searching and the ability to reverse complement sequences and traces. Download FinchTV here
